Devin is a first-generation college graduate and first-generation corporate professional. He knows what it's like to walk into rooms where no one in your family has been before and figure it out without a roadmap. He's also been intentional about shaping his own career, navigating periods where original goals and plans no longer fit and figuring out what comes next when the path you planned stops making sense.
Over 10+ years at Amazon, Caterpillar, and Emerson in HR Business Partnerships and Talent Strategy, Devin didn't just get into rooms he never saw himself in at first. He created opportunities there, shaped how decisions were made, and charted new paths in spaces that weren't designed with him in mind. He's been in the rooms where hiring decisions happen, reviewed thousands of resumes, and helped design how companies identify and develop talent.
Devin earned his Bachelor of Business (B.B.) in Human Resource Management from Western Illinois University, where he graduated with University Honors. He went on to complete a Master of Education (M.Ed) in Education Policy, Organization and Leadership (EPOL) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, graduating with Distinction, followed by a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Carson College of Business at Washington State University. He holds both the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credentials. Across his career at Amazon, Caterpillar, and Emerson, Devin has worked with people in both tech and non-tech roles across multiple industries, supporting diverse populations through HR business partnerships, talent strategy, and organizational development. That combination of education, certification, and hands-on experience is what makes him effective at helping people navigate their own career goals with real strategy and real results.
